We at the Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory are closely monitoring updates related to the COVID-19 pandemic and have implemented protocols in accordance with the strictest recommendations by the Biological Sciences Division of the University of Chicago.
The Clinical Addictions Research Laboratory (CARL) was established in 1997 under the direction of Andrea King, PhD, Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Chicago.
|
The overarching mission of CARL is two-fold:
To determine factors that lead to excessive use of alcohol, tobacco, and other substances
|
To develop more effective interventions in the treatment of substance use disorders, particularly tobacco dependence |
